AFC West

Kansas City Chiefs

The roster. The players. The latest coverage.

Initial roster observationObserved Sep 20, 2026, 7:00 am EDT · Historical profile reference

The Kansas City Chiefs play in the AFC West. This hub brings together the club’s official roster, player profiles, and related coverage.

The roster at a glance

The source lists 77 active, practice-squad, and reserve-list entries after released and transferred entries are excluded; 55 carry its ACT designation. An active-roster label is not a guarantee that a player will dress for a particular game.

Every player row below links to an individual profile and preserves the NFL’s status code. The roster was checked on September 20, 2026. It is a dated roster snapshot, not a game-day inactive report.

Arrowhead Stadium: the name for the 2026 season

Team and visitor guide updated October 2, 2026. The Chiefs’ home venue is again branded Arrowhead Stadium for the 2026 NFL season. The club and G.E.H.A announced the change on August 5, 2026, while confirming that G.E.H.A would remain a team partner. Older photographs, articles and tickets may use GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium; that historical name refers to the same venue.

Where to go and what to arrange first

Arrowhead Stadium is at 1 Arrowhead Drive, Kansas City, Missouri 64129. The stadium’s game-day guidance requires parking to be purchased in advance and says all admission tickets are mobile-only. Have the ticket and any parking pass ready before joining the entry queues. The venue is cashless, so plan to use an accepted card rather than relying on cash for purchases inside.

The standard game-day timetable lists parking lots opening 4½ hours before kickoff and stadium gates opening two hours before kickoff. Treat those as the general plan and check the notice for your particular game before setting an arrival time. The published pickup and drop-off point is the Missouri Welcome Center on Blue Ridge Cutoff, between Gates 1 and 2.

What bags are allowed at Arrowhead?

  • A clear plastic bag up to 12 × 6 × 12 inches, without hardware or decoration concealing its contents.
  • A one-gallon clear zip-seal bag.
  • A small non-clear bag no larger than 4½ × 6½ inches.
  • Medically necessary items can qualify for an exception after inspection.

Size is only part of the policy: a tinted or patterned plastic bag is not the same as a permitted clear bag. Check the venue’s current permitted-items guidance when packing.

Andy Reid’s Chiefs coaching timeline

Andy Reid was appointed Kansas City’s head coach on January 7, 2013. The 2026 season is his 14th with the Chiefs and 28th as an NFL head coach, following 14 seasons leading Philadelphia. His Kansas City championship teams won Super Bowls LIV, LVII and LVIII.

That coaching history provides context for the team, while the dated roster snapshot above serves a different purpose. For individual game preparation, use the injury reports and transaction records alongside the player profiles, rather than treating an old roster count as today’s active list.

LIVE DATA Updated Oct 8, 2026, 11:20 pm EDT

Play and drive totals cover 50 completed games across 32 teams. Games counted can differ by team. Rates use summed outcomes and opportunities; no minimum attempts apply. A missing value in any counted game withholds that metric. These are dated covered-game figures, not a complete season.

First downs count the play record's total flags, including recorded penalty awards; they can differ from drive summaries. Conversion attempts use recorded converted and failed down flags, including flagged kneels. Nullified downs, punts and field goals are not inferred attempts.

Inside-20 drives have a recorded down starting closer than 20 yards from the opponent's goal line. Reaching only the 20 is excluded. Only touchdowns for the possessing team on those drives count. This definition is not an official league red-zone ranking.

Possession includes overtime. Time is minutes:seconds; per-game time is rounded to the nearest second. Possession share divides the team's recorded seconds by the full elapsed time of its counted games, including overtime. Rates use summed opportunities and zero opportunities have no percentage. Equal displayed values share a rank; rankings describe only the matching supplied teams. — = not supplied.

Regular-season record and points; postseason shows how each run ended. Expected W is the win total implied by points scored and allowed (Pythagorean expectation, exponent 2.37); the small figure is actual minus expected, where +1 or more suggests close-game luck. From WHYNFL's results archive, which begins in 1999, counted by franchise (Raiders include Oakland, Chargers San Diego, Rams St. Louis). Splits cover the regular season and playoffs: night games kick off at 7 pm Eastern or later (games without a listed kickoff are left out), and one-score games are decided by 8 points or fewer.
