The Carolina Panthers signed cornerback Jakorian Bennett to the practice squad on Friday, November 6, a day after he visited Charlotte, and the Cleveland Browns promoted defensive tackle Sam Kamara from the practice squad to the active roster. The Baltimore Ravens and Arizona Cardinals also made the Jacoby Brissett trade official, the biggest roster move of the day.

This roundup covers moves announced or filed on Friday through the evening ET. Thursday’s moves are in our Thursday roundup, and every roundup is on our transactions page.

The moves that matter

Panthers land Bennett. Carolina announced that it signed Bennett to the practice squad and released cornerback Zion Childress to open the spot. Mike Garafolo had reported the visit on Thursday after Bennett cleared waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles, and Ian Rapoport confirmed the practice-squad signing on Friday. The Panthers also hired Dele Harding as a defensive assistant; Harding has previously worked on staffs in Houston, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Dallas and New Orleans.

Brissett trade is official. Baltimore acquired Brissett and a 2027 fifth-round pick from Arizona for a 2027 fourth-round pick and a 2028 seventh-round pick, Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport reported. Rapoport also reported that the Cardinals are covering a little more than half of Brissett’s remaining 2026 salary. Full pick terms, the salary split and what it means for the Ravens’ Week 10 plan are in our Brissett trade story and the step-by-step breakdown. Outside linebacker Adisa Isaac and kicker Jake Moody, elevated for Thursday night, returned to the practice squad on Friday.

Kamara joins Cleveland’s active roster. Ian Rapoport reported that the Browns signed Kamara from the practice squad. Kamara has one sack, three tackles for loss and 10 tackles in three games this season after earlier practice-squad elevations. The move comes with Deshaun Watson still in the concussion protocol and Shedeur Sanders set to start Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

Other Friday moves

Practice-squad returns. Besides Isaac and Moody in Baltimore, Jacksonville returned safety Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig to the practice squad after elevating him for Thursday night in Baltimore. Those returns are the standard next-day filing after a game-day elevation.

What comes next

Brandon Aiyuk reported to the San Francisco 49ers on Friday with agent Drew Rosenhaus; the roughly $13 million bonus forfeiture is covered in our Aiyuk story, and no roster move had been filed by Friday night. Rams cornerback Jaylen Watson is still headed for season-ending shoulder surgery, as our Wednesday injury roundup explains, but Los Angeles had not placed him on injured reserve. Myles Garrett is expected to be activated from injured reserve for Sunday’s game at Washington, and the Falcons had not activated James Pearce Jr. or Yasir Abdullah before the Madrid game. The trade deadline is Tuesday, November 10, at 4 p.m. ET.
