The Baltimore Ravens and Arizona Cardinals made it official on Friday: quarterback Jacoby Brissett is a Raven. Baltimore is sending a 2027 fourth-round pick and a 2028 seventh-round pick to Arizona for Brissett and a 2027 fifth-round selection, Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport reported. Rapoport also reported that the Cardinals are covering a little more than half of Brissett’s remaining 2026 salary.

🏈Cardinals receive: a 2027 4th-round pick and a 2028 7th-round pick.
The clubs had been finalizing the swap since Wednesday, after Baltimore placed Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley on injured reserve and signed Austin Reed. Thursday night in Baltimore, undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano started and the Ravens fell 33-10 to the Jacksonville Jaguars — the third different starting quarterback in three games and a fourth straight loss. Our Week 9 recap and Thursday transactions roundup track that stretch.
Why Baltimore needed a veteran now
Jackson is on injured reserve after thumb surgery and is out indefinitely. Huntley is done for the season with turf toe. Brissett, 33, started the first eight games for Arizona this season before the Cardinals turned to Gardner Minshew. In those starts he completed 63.3 percent of his passes for 1,719 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Baltimore next plays the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football in Week 10, giving Brissett a short week to learn Declan Doyle’s offense after the Thursday night game.
Arizona’s side of the ledger
Thank you, Jacoby!

The Cardinals announced the trade on Friday and thanked Brissett for his time in the desert. Field Yates reported that Arizona converted about $2.7 million of Brissett’s remaining base salary into a signing bonus so Baltimore would take on the rest — a necessary step for a Ravens club that sits near the bottom of the league in available cap space. Brissett is a pending free agent after this season; incentives such as a start-and-win bonus carry over to Baltimore.
The deal closes one of the clearest quarterback needs ahead of Tuesday’s Nov. 10 trade deadline. Arizona moves on with Minshew and rookie Carson Beck; Baltimore gets a veteran who has started for six franchises and can stabilize a playoff chase that was slipping without Jackson.
