Thirteen full first-round mocks from October 28 to November 1 all take Jeremiah Smith first. Drew Mestemaker is QB1 in nine but his average slot slipped to 7.8, Colin Simmons and Leonard Moore follow, and Arch Manning is back in seven first rounds.

Thirteen new first-round mock drafts came out between Wednesday, October 28, and Sunday, November 1, and they agree on the top of the 2027 class more than they agree on its quarterbacks.

Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith goes first in all 13. Oklahoma State’s Drew Mestemaker is the first quarterback taken in nine of them, the week he won the midseason scouts’ poll for QB1. But his average draft slot slid from 3.4 in the eight mocks we counted last week to 7.8, because Crean, Kiwoom and the staff mock take him eighth, ninth and 18th, and Walt leaves him out of the round. Texas’s Arch Manning, who was in three of those eight first rounds, is in seven of the 13.

The 13 mocks

The count covers every full first round posted in those five days that we could find: Josh Edwards and Brian Lamb on October 28; Walter Cherepinsky, who signs as Walt, also on October 28; Luke Easterling, Tim Bielik, Tim Crean and Cody Williams on October 29, plus a staff mock that day built in turns by Rob Gregson, Travis May, Kyle Crabbs, Tyler Forness and Ryan Roberts; Matty Kiwoom and Charlie Campbell on October 30; Tarringo Basile-Vaughan and Jack Aaron on October 31; and Sayre Bedinger on November 1. Top-10-only projections and computer-generated mocks are not included.

Most of the 13 were finished before college Week 9 on Saturday and all of them before NFL Week 8 on Sunday, so they use slightly different draft orders. The Chargers pick first in 12; the staff mock gives the Dolphins the top pick, and they also take Smith.

The consensus first round

Players are ranked by average pick. A player left out of a mock counts as pick No. 40 for that mock, so a prospect who shows up in every first round ranks ahead of one who goes higher in fewer of them.

Ten players in every first round

Ten prospects made all 13 first rounds: Smith, Texas edge rusher Colin Simmons, Notre Dame cornerback Leonard Moore, South Carolina edge rusher Dylan Stewart, Indiana receiver Charlie Becker, LSU tackle Jordan Seaton, Georgia cornerback Ellis Robinson IV, Ole Miss defensive lineman Will Echoles, LSU tight end Trey’Dez Green and Alabama edge rusher Yhonzae Pierre.

Simmons is the clear No. 2 player, averaging 3.8 and never going later than 10th, with Moore at 5.2. Stewart moved up the most among the top names, from an average of 9.5 last week to 7.2, and Green went from six of eight first rounds to 13 of 13, with his average rising from 23.8 to 18.0.

Mestemaker is QB1 in most, but not by the same margin

Mestemaker goes third to the Dolphins in six of the mocks, from Edwards, Lamb, Easterling, Williams, Basile-Vaughan and Aaron. Bielik and Bedinger have him second to Tennessee, and Campbell has him fifth to Philadelphia.

The other four mocks start their quarterback run with someone else. Walt takes Notre Dame’s CJ Carr third and leaves Mestemaker out entirely. Crean takes Miami’s Darian Mensah third and Mestemaker eighth. Kiwoom has Manning second to the Titans and Mestemaker ninth. The staff mock takes South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers third and waits until No. 18 for Mestemaker.

Mensah has the second-best average among the quarterbacks at 9.9, in 12 of the 13 first rounds and never later than 14th. Ole Miss’s Trinidad Chambliss is also in 12, but anywhere from seventh to 32nd. Oregon’s Dante Moore, whose season is over after his concussion, is still in 10 of the 13, most often at No. 14 to Cleveland.

Manning and Carr split the field

Manning’s seven first-round spots are scattered from No. 2 to No. 24: second in Kiwoom’s mock, eighth for Bielik and Williams, 10th for Crean, 14th for Easterling and 24th to Pittsburgh for both Basile-Vaughan and Bedinger. Six mocks leave him out of the round, including Walt’s and Campbell’s.

Carr is in only eight first rounds but in the top eight in five of them, third for Walt and Bedinger, seventh for Edwards and Campbell and eighth for Basile-Vaughan. Sellers, who ran and threw for five touchdowns at Oklahoma on Saturday, is in just two: third in the staff mock and 24th for Walt.

Ten of the mocks have at least five quarterbacks in the first round. Easterling and Bedinger have seven each, both ending the round with Missouri’s Austin Simmons at No. 32.

The biggest outliers

Lamb takes Florida running back Jadan Baugh second overall to Tennessee, the only top-10 spot for Baugh in any of the 13. Baugh is still in 12 first rounds, most of them between 18th and 22nd, and his average rose from 27.5 to 21.6 even after he was held to 38 yards by Georgia on Saturday.

Tennessee defensive lineman Xavier Gilliam ranges from fifth in Bedinger’s mock to 28th in two others. Clemson cornerback Ashton Hampton slipped from an average of 13.8 last week to 17.8, and Texas tackle Trevor Goosby is out of two first rounds after Dane Brugler questioned his season and his medicals.
