Kyle Monangai will miss a fourth straight game, but the Chicago Bears get linebacker T.J. Edwards and tight end Colston Loveland for Monday night in Seattle. The final injury report before the Seahawks game, released on Saturday, rules out only the running back and lists two more players as questionable: rookie cornerback Malik Muhammad and linebacker D’Marco Jackson.

The 5-2 Bears are on the road against the defending Super Bowl champions at Lumen Field, with kickoff at 8:15 p.m. EST on Monday, November 2. All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, acquired from the Tennessee Titans on Thursday, is expected to make his debut.

Out: Kyle Monangai

Monangai is dealing with thumb and toe injuries and did not take part in any of the three sessions on the report. His last appearance came on October 4, when Chicago beat the New York Jets in Week 4. Chicago has so far kept him off injured reserve, and Ben Johnson said the team is “still hopeful” he will be back soon.

Questionable: Malik Muhammad and D’Marco Jackson

Muhammad, who hurt his toe in the Thursday night win over the New England Patriots, was limited on all three days. That is usually a sign that a player is managing pain rather than facing a setback, but the Bears will want to see how the toe responds before deciding whether the rookie can handle a full night against Seattle’s receivers.

Jackson’s week was uneven. He was listed as limited for Thursday, when the Bears did not practice and the report was only an estimate, missed Friday with his ankle injury and then practiced fully on Saturday. The full session at the end of the week points toward him playing, which matters for a linebacker group that has been short-handed.

Back in the lineup

Edwards practiced fully all week and carries no designation. A hamstring injury had kept him out of the previous two games, and the team confirmed on Saturday evening that he is back for Dennis Allen’s defense.

Loveland was a late addition to the report on Friday with a neck problem and was limited that day. He moved up to a full practice on Saturday and has no designation. Johnson said the Bears were hoping the issue was a minor one, and the week ended the way they wanted. Linebacker Jack Sanborn, who missed one game with a concussion, also practiced fully all week and is cleared.

The other sideline

Seattle will be without left tackle Charles Cross, receiver Rashid Shaheed and running back Velus Jones Jr., while edge rusher Uchenna Nwosu is doubtful. Running back Zach Charbonnet is set for his season debut. The full picture is in our Seahawks injury report.

What comes next

Inactive lists are due 90 minutes before kickoff on Monday, when the calls on Muhammad and Jackson will be settled. Follow the game on the Bears-Seahawks Game Center. After Seattle, Chicago comes home to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night, November 8.

The why matters.
