The league moved Raiders at 49ers on Nov. 8 from 4:05 pm ET on CBS to 4:25 pm ET on FOX (11:25 pm in Cairo) and switched networks for Lions-Dolphins and two Week 11 games. The Week 9 Sunday night decision is due Tuesday.

The Las Vegas Raiders’ visit to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9 has a new kickoff time. The league moved the game at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday, Nov. 8, from 4:05 pm ET on CBS to 4:25 pm ET on FOX, the national late-afternoon window that week. In Cairo, that means an 11:25 pm start instead of 11:05 pm.

The change was one of four announced on Monday, Oct. 26. The other three keep their 1 pm ET kickoff, which is 8 pm in Cairo, and only switch networks: the Detroit Lions’ Week 9 trip to the Miami Dolphins moves from FOX to CBS, and in Week 11 on Nov. 22 the Dolphins’ game in Buffalo moves from FOX to CBS while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ visit to Detroit goes the other way, from CBS to FOX.

The four changes

San Francisco comes out of its Week 8 bye at 6-1 after its first loss of the season, 29-20 in Atlanta on Sunday. The Raiders started 3-0 but have lost four in a row, most recently 35-21 at home to the Los Angeles Rams, and are 3-4. Moving the game to 4:25 pm puts it alongside the Green Bay Packers at the New England Patriots and the Arizona Cardinals at the Seattle Seahawks in FOX’s late window, leaving the Houston Texans at the Los Angeles Chargers as the only 4:05 pm game, on CBS.

Both Miami switches move a Dolphins game from FOX to CBS. The Dolphins earned their first win of the season on Sunday, 28-25 over the New York Jets, and are 1-5 going into Week 8 at home against New England.

Sunday night in Week 9 still to be decided

One more Week 9 decision is due. Under the league’s flexible scheduling rules, a change to a Sunday night game in Weeks 5 to 10 has to be announced at least 12 days in advance, and for Nov. 8 that deadline is the end of Tuesday, Oct. 27, in the United States. The game in the slot now is Tampa Bay at the Chicago Bears, set for 8:20 pm ET, or 3:20 am Monday in Cairo. The Buccaneers are 2-5 but routed the Carolina Panthers 43-13 on Sunday in Baker Mayfield’s return, and the Bears are 5-2 after beating New England on Thursday night in Week 7.

Week 9 in Cairo time

Egypt goes back to winter time at midnight on Thursday, Oct. 29, and the United States follows on Nov. 1, so by Week 9 the gap is back to seven hours and Cairo times return to the usual pattern. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans are on bye. Here is the full Week 9 schedule with the changes included:

The Madrid game at the Bernabéu starts at 3:30 pm local time, the same 4:30 pm in Cairo as the Steelers-Saints game in Paris. Before Week 9 comes Week 8, where Panthers at Packers on Thursday is the one game that starts an hour earlier in Cairo, at 2:15 am Friday, because of the clock change. Every kickoff for the season is on our NFL schedule, which can show times in the Africa/Cairo time zone, and night games are on the prime-time schedule.
