Updated October 11, 3:45 p.m. EDT: the Jets rule out Kenyon Sadiq with a concussion, the Giants check Colton Hood for one, the Bengals declare Swayze Bozeman out, and the Bears, Packers, Dolphins and Texans add defenders to the list.
The New York Jets declared tight end Kenyon Sadiq out with a concussion at 3:33 p.m. EDT, 25 minutes after the club first said he was being checked for a head injury in the second half against the Cleveland Browns at MetLife Stadium. Sadiq now enters the league’s concussion protocol, and his availability for the Jets’ next game will depend on how quickly he clears its steps.

In their game at the Washington Commanders, the New York Giants said cornerback Colton Hood was being evaluated for a concussion at 3:32 p.m. EDT. The Giants were already playing without right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor for a stretch: Mike Garafolo reported that Eluemunor was helped to the medical tent shortly before 3 p.m. EDT with a calf injury and was questionable to return. The club had not posted its own update on Eluemunor by 3:45 p.m. EDT.
Bengals, Bears and Texans lose defenders
The Cincinnati Bengals declared linebacker Swayze Bozeman out at 3:19 p.m. EDT with an injury to his right arm. In Green Bay, the Chicago Bears listed defensive lineman Dayo Odeyingbo as questionable with a quad injury and then, at 3:32 p.m. EDT, downgraded him to doubtful to return, a second blow to their front seven after T.J. Edwards went out earlier in the afternoon. The Packers said cornerback Benjamin St-Juste was questionable to return with a hamstring injury at 3:13 p.m. EDT.

Houston, comfortably ahead in Nashville, listed safety Jalen Pitre as questionable with a shoulder injury at 3:26 p.m. EDT after he was taken into the blue medical tent. On the other sideline, Aaron Wilson reported that the Tennessee Titans ruled out cornerback Cor’Dale Flott with a chest injury at 3:17 p.m. EDT. The Texans led 26-3 midway through the fourth quarter.
Dolphins: Brents cleared, two more hurt
Miami had better news on JuJu Brents. The cornerback cleared his concussion evaluation at 2:49 p.m. EDT and was listed as questionable with a stinger instead. The Dolphins then added safety Michael Taaffe, questionable with a chest injury at 3 p.m. EDT, to a list that already included offensive lineman Jonah Savaiinaea, who was questionable to return with an ankle injury from 2:15 p.m. EDT, and linebacker Jordyn Brooks.
None of the clubs had given a timeline for any of these players by 3:45 p.m. EDT. Designations for next week will come with this week’s practice reports, which begin on Wednesday, October 14.
Earlier: Montgomery, Moore, Edwards and Brents
The Houston Texans ruled running back David Montgomery out for the rest of Sunday’s game in Nashville at 2:39 p.m. EDT, an hour after he limped off with a groin injury, leaving second-year back Woody Marks to carry the load. Houston led the Tennessee Titans 12-3 at halftime on four Ka’imi Fairbairn field goals, the last from 53 yards with 1:15 left in the second quarter.

Montgomery finished with 11 yards on 5 carries, while Marks had 23 yards on 6. Dare Ogunbowale is the only other running back active for Houston, so Marks is in line to take most of the carries in the second half.
Three more players were taken off the field for good or sent for tests between 2:30 and 2:40 p.m. EDT. Green Bay ruled out returner and receiver Skyy Moore with his ankle injury, the Chicago Bears lost linebacker T.J. Edwards to a hamstring injury, as Phil Thompson reported from Lambeau Field, and the Miami Dolphins said cornerback JuJu Brents was being evaluated for a concussion and was questionable to return. The Bears have not posted Edwards’ status themselves; he had four tackles, one for a loss, before he went out, with Green Bay ahead 20-7 early in the third quarter after Jordan Love’s second touchdown pass to Christian Watson, a 53-yarder.
Brents was hurt with Cincinnati leading Miami 21-7 at halftime. Joe Burrow added a third touchdown pass, 2 yards to Tanner Hudson, with 55 seconds left in the second quarter.
Earlier: Raiders, Patriots, Jets and Steelers
The Las Vegas Raiders ruled out defensive tackle Tonka Hemingway for the rest of Sunday’s game in Foxborough at 2:10 p.m. EDT because of a stinger that affected his neck, and a minute later listed defensive end Patrick Johnson as questionable with the same kind of injury. Las Vegas trailed the New England Patriots 14-7 in the second quarter and could finish the afternoon two defensive linemen short.
New England has its own problems in that game. Left tackle Will Campbell hurt his knee and running back TreVeyon Henderson injured an ankle; both are officially questionable to return but had gone to the locker room by 2 p.m. EDT, and first-round pick Caleb Lomu took over at left tackle. Read the full story on the Patriots’ injuries.
Two more clubs reported injuries shortly after 2 p.m. EDT. The New York Jets said edge rusher Joseph Ossai is questionable to return with an ankle injury while they held a 7-6 lead over the Cleveland Browns at MetLife Stadium. In Pittsburgh, the Steelers first listed receiver Ben Skowronek as questionable with a leg injury and shortly before 3 p.m. EDT ruled him out with a calf injury, along with receiver Roman Wilson, who hurt a finger, as Adam Schefter also reported. Losing two receivers in one afternoon leaves Aaron Rodgers short of targets against the Indianapolis Colts.
First-half injuries
The first wave came in the opening half of the 1 p.m. EDT games. Miami linebacker Jordyn Brooks was listed as questionable with a foot injury at 1:53 p.m. EDT, Tennessee safety Kevin Winston Jr. as questionable with a quad injury at 1:14 p.m. EDT, and Houston first called Montgomery questionable at 1:55 p.m. EDT before downgrading him. Moore’s loss hurts Green Bay in particular: the Packers already placed Jayden Reed on injured reserve on September 30 after neck surgery, and Moore had been covering part of his role as a receiver and returner.
What comes next
Each club is expected to update the remaining players’ status during the second half. Houston faces the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, October 18, at 9:30 a.m. EDT, and Chicago visits the Atlanta Falcons that day at 1 p.m. EDT. Miami’s next game is at the New York Jets on Sunday, October 25. Green Bay hosts the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, October 18, at 8:20 p.m. EDT, Tennessee visits the Indianapolis Colts that afternoon, and Las Vegas hosts the Buffalo Bills at 4:25 p.m. EDT.
