A dated look at September 19 roster decisions, including Omar Cooper Jr.’s IR move. Zay Flowers returned in Week 3 but is questionable for Week 4.

This is a record of the September 19, 2026 roster and availability decisions ahead of Week 2. The game designations below applied to that weekend, rather than to the current schedule.

The Week 2 decisions

Baltimore ruled Zay Flowers out against New Orleans because of a hamstring injury. The Jets placed rookie receiver Omar Cooper Jr. on injured reserve after an ankle injury in their season opener against Tennessee.

Pittsburgh downgraded receiver Michael Pittman Jr. to out against New England, while Green Bay ruled defensive lineman Javon Hargrave out against the Jets.

What changed for Flowers

Flowers returned for Baltimore’s September 27 win over Dallas on a restricted snap count. He practiced fully October 1, then returned to limited work Friday and was listed as questionable for the October 4 game against Tennessee. His Week 2 absence should not be read as an ongoing out designation, and Thursday’s full practice did not amount to final clearance.

Why the labels matter

Being ruled out for a game and being placed on injured reserve are different decisions. Neither, by itself, establishes an exact recovery date. The four Week 2 updates above should not be used to infer a later-week lineup.

Baltimore’s more recent roster work is covered in the Ravens’ additions of Andre James and Kyle Hergel.

The why matters.
