Nate Tice’s midseason 2027 big board stretches past 60 names. Jeremiah Smith stays No. 1, Drew Mestemaker is the top quarterback at No. 5, Arch Manning is eighth, and Austin Simmons is 12.

Nate Tice has expanded his 2027 NFL Draft big board from a preseason top 30 into a midseason list of more than 60 prospects, and the quarterback order is the clearest contrast with the other free board we covered this week. Oklahoma State’s Drew Mestemaker is still QB1 at No. 5. Texas’s Arch Manning stays inside the top 10 at No. 8. Missouri’s Austin Simmons jumps to No. 12.

Tice published the board late Friday into Saturday and said he is ranking everyone as if they will declare. He notes that many of these players, especially the quarterbacks, could still return to school or transfer, which is why a midseason board stays fluid.

Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith is No. 1 again. Tice calls him a gravity-shifter who changes the math for both the offense and the defense, with a Julio Jones-level physical profile and, at worst, a Josh Gordon-like floor.

The top 10

Notre Dame cornerback Leonard Moore is No. 2. Tice writes that Moore has a chance to be one of the best corner prospects he has ever studied, with length, range and the ability to shadow top receivers or work from the slot. South Carolina edge rusher Dylan Stewart is No. 3, ahead of Texas’s Colin Simmons at No. 6.

LSU tackle Jordan Seaton is No. 4 — four spots ahead of where Eric Edholm had him on the top-50 board we published Saturday — and Indiana receiver Charlie Becker is No. 7. Mestemaker is the only quarterback ahead of Manning.

Georgia linebacker Chris Cole is No. 10. Utah tackle Zereoue Williams, a former basketball player still tapping into his upside, is No. 9, well ahead of Edholm’s No. 23.

A midseason look at the 2027 quarterback class. Rankings in this story are from Nate Tice’s expanded big board 2.0, published Nov. 6–7.

Where the quarterbacks land

Eight quarterbacks make Tice’s top 50. Manning is the biggest separator from Edholm’s board, where he had slid to No. 18. Tice still likes the size, athleticism and willingness to push the ball, even when the Texas offense has made life harder.

Austin Simmons is No. 12 overall. Tice notes that Simmons has reportedly re-signed with Missouri for 2027 with a caveat that he can still explore the draft after the season, and he kept the ranking in place. He calls Simmons’s high-end throws as good as you will see and says the arm talent and ball placement keep windows alive.

Dante MooreNo. 38No. 27
Darian MensahNo. 39No. 22
CJ CarrNo. 40No. 25

Ole Miss’s Trinidad Chambliss is No. 16. Tice acknowledges the age and size questions but compares the game to Jeff Garcia and says Chambliss rocks as a pocket operator. South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers is No. 19 — not on Edholm’s top 50 — after Tice said he was giving Sellers until Halloween to show more consistency and now feels encouraged by the decisiveness over the past month.

Oregon’s Dante Moore (No. 38), Miami’s Darian Mensah (No. 39) and Notre Dame’s CJ Carr (No. 40) sit together near the end of the top 40. That is a sharp drop from Edholm, who had Mensah at 22 and Carr at 25.

Risers beyond the quarterbacks

LSU receiver Jackson Harris is No. 15. Tice says he loves the combination of size, hands and agility, and he followed up on the board by posting that Harris landed 15th. Oklahoma defensive lineman David Stone is No. 14, and Miami’s Ahmad Moten Sr. is No. 18 as a disruptive interior piece.

Texas tackle Melvin Siani is No. 20 after kicking to left tackle when Trevor Goosby was hurt. Goosby himself is No. 41 on Tice’s board after the knee injury. Notre Dame edge Boubacar Traore is No. 27, and California safety Kingston Lopa is No. 33 as one of Tice’s biggest risers on size and versatility.

How it lines up with Edholm’s top 10

Both boards keep Smith, Moore and Stewart 1-2-3. After that they split. Tice has Seaton fourth and Mestemaker fifth; Edholm had Becker fourth and Mestemaker fifth with Seaton ninth. Manning is eighth for Tice and 18th for Edholm. Austin Simmons is 12th for Tice and 20th for Edholm.

Tice also lists names 51 through the low 60s beyond this table, including Arizona State’s Omarion Miller, Clemson’s Corey Myrick and Sammy Brown, and Iowa interior lineman Kade Pieper. He says the board will keep moving as the college season and the declaration window evolve.
