October 1 update: Week 2 status resolved

Puka Nacua was inactive for the Rams’ September 21 game against the Giants after entering the matchup with a questionable designation. Jordan Whittington and Kam Kinchens also missed that game.

Nacua subsequently missed the September 27 trip to Denver. McVay initially expected him back against Philadelphia; Friday’s final report then gave Nacua no injury designation after a full practice. Read the confirmed Week 4 availability update for Nacua for the current situation.

The original Week 2 concern

Nacua missed the Friday and Saturday practices before the Giants game. His listed injury was a hip issue, while McVay also described groin soreness. Whittington was doubtful with a quadriceps injury and Kinchens had already been ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Nacua had caught five passes for 74 yards in the season opener. The initial Week 2 report left his availability unresolved; the September 21 inactive list confirmed that he would not play.

The why matters.
