Rams: Garrett cleared, Ferguson flipped to out
Sean McVay said Friday that Garrett, who practiced all week while working back from knee surgery on injured reserve, is expected to play Sunday, and that Ferguson was expected to go as well. The Rams’ first report listed neither player with a designation, but the club later changed Ferguson’s status to out with ankle and hamstring injuries. Cornerback Trent McDuffie (back), tight end Colby Parkinson (ribs) and safety Kam Curl (foot) are questionable, and long snapper Joe Cardona (ankle) is doubtful. Los Angeles still has to make Garrett’s return from IR official with a roster move before kickoff.
Packers: Parsons out at New England
Parsons was limited in three straight practices after opening his return window this week, but Green Bay ruled him out for Sunday against the Patriots. Linebacker Zaire Franklin (shin), guard Travis Glover (knee), center Sean Rhyan (ankle) and tight end Josh Whyle (concussion) are also out. Christian Watson (rib) and guard Aaron Banks were limited all week but have no game status, while cornerback Keisean Nixon (groin) and running backs MarShawn Lloyd (knee) and Chris Brooks (ankle) are questionable.
49ers: Bosa and McCaffrey back, three receivers out
Kyle Shanahan said Bosa (calf) and McCaffrey (hamstring) are fully cleared for Sunday against the Raiders after both took full practice reps Friday. San Francisco will be thin at wide receiver: Mike Evans (Achilles) misses a second straight game, and Deebo Samuel Sr. (hamstring) and Christian Kirk (knee) are also out. Demarcus Robinson (ankle), cornerbacks Upton Stout and Nate Hobbs, and safety Siran Neal are questionable.
Eagles and Giants: Smith and Wicks out, Barkley good to go
Philadelphia’s final report ruled out Smith (hamstring) and Wicks (ankle) for a third straight game, and listed Barkley with no designation after his second straight limited practice. Linebacker Jihaad Campbell and cornerbacks Michael Carter II and Jonathan Jones are also out, and quarterback Tanner McKee (rib) is questionable. On the other side, the Giants listed Cam Skattebo as doubtful with his hamstring injury, while Malik Nabers was a full participant and has no designation.
Browns: Sanders starts as Watson stays in protocol
Todd Monken named Shedeur Sanders the starter for Sunday at New Orleans. Watson returned to practice on a limited basis Friday and is listed as questionable, but he has not cleared the concussion protocol, and Sanders took the first-team reps all week. Defensive tackle Maliek Collins (elbow, illness) is out.
Around the league
Washington ruled out receivers Dyami Brown (calf) and Treylon Burks (foot) against the Rams. Detroit listed Amon-Ra St. Brown (rib) as questionable against Miami after limited practice. Seattle ruled out Rashid Shaheed (knee) for Arizona, and the Chargers listed tight end David Njoku (fibula) as doubtful against Houston.
