The quarterbacks got the headlines in college Week 9, and we went through their lines on Sunday. Here is how the rest of the 2027 NFL Draft’s top prospects did on Saturday, October 31, starting with the game Charlie Campbell chose for his draft-focused recap: No. 3 Georgia’s 27-8 win over No. 17 Florida at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Chris Cole’s scoop and score

Georgia linebacker Chris Cole had nine tackles and a sack, and with 29 seconds left in the first half he scooped up a fumble and returned it 66 yards for a touchdown that made it 24-0. Rob Rang already had Cole fifth on his latest top 50; Campbell has him at No. 39 to Tampa Bay in his newest two-round mock.

Campbell pointed to plays that do not show up in a highlight: on Georgia’s first defensive snap, Cole held Jadan Baugh to a three-yard gain when the Florida back had a lane, and in the fourth quarter he ran to the sideline to push a receiver out short of a first down. “For the NFL, Cole looks like a starting middle linebacker,” Campbell wrote, calling him functional in zone coverage and “a safe pick to turn into a quality starter.” He added that Cole “could get selected in the back half of the first round and should not last long if he slips to day two.”

Robinson, Bolden and the Georgia secondary

Florida threw three interceptions. Corner Ellis Robinson IV caught the first of them in the first quarter, when a Gators quarterback heaved the ball underhand into the air. Campbell called Robinson “rock solid in man coverage” otherwise and wrote: “This tape will help him to be a first-round pick.” Walt and Campbell both have Robinson going to the Jets in their latest first rounds.

Safety KJ Bolden finished with six tackles. Campbell credited him with an open-field tackle on Baugh on third down to force a punt, but noted that Florida slot receiver Bailey Stockton beat him on a third-and-10 slant for about 17 yards and that Baugh ran through him for extra yards. His verdict: “this tape won’t hurt him or help him significantly.”

A long day for Baugh and Singleton

Baugh, one of the top running backs in the class, carried 17 times for 38 yards, a long of 15. Campbell blamed Florida’s offensive line more than the back, saying Baugh “ran hard, but was stifled,” and noted that Baugh was wide open on a short route late in the third quarter when his quarterback threw to the back of the end zone and was intercepted. After Florida’s only touchdown, Baugh took a direct snap and threw the two-point conversion to Dallas Wilson. Campbell still called him a likely future first-round pick, and he has Baugh 22nd in his October 30 mock.

Receiver Eric Singleton Jr., an Auburn transfer, caught four passes for 19 yards. Campbell counted two bad drops: a deep slant that bounced off his hands and was intercepted, and a perfectly thrown deep ball on third-and-long. “He looks like a Ferrari but plays like a Corolla,” Campbell wrote, adding that Singleton now looks “closer to an undrafted free agent rather than an early-round pick.”

Becker’s 149 yards and Smith in a loss

Indiana’s Charlie Becker, whom Dane Brugler called “very clearly a top-10 prospect” on Saturday, caught eight passes for 149 yards and a touchdown, with a long of 47, in the Hoosiers’ 23-16 overtime win over Minnesota. Teammate Nick Marsh added four catches for 59 yards and a score.

Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith, the No. 1 pick in nearly every mock, caught 10 passes for 83 yards and a touchdown, but the Buckeyes lost 30-18 at USC with freshman Luke Fahey starting in place of injured quarterback Julian Sayin.

At Texas, linebacker Rasheem Biles had three sacks and four tackles for loss in a 31-3 win over Mississippi State, receiver Cam Coleman turned two catches into 61 yards and a touchdown, and safety Jelani McDonald made nine tackles. Ole Miss defensive tackle Will Echoles scored on a one-yard run in a 45-15 win over Auburn.

Next Saturday, LSU hosts Alabama and Miami brings Darian Mensah and Malachi Toney to Notre Dame.
