Jordan Love completed 25 of 31 passes for 367 yards and two long touchdowns to Christian Watson, and the Green Bay Packers took the ball away five times in a 31-7 win over the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field on Sunday, October 11.
The result leaves the NFC North rivals level at 3-2 and slows a Chicago team that had won three of its first four games, including two wins with backup quarterbacks. With Caleb Williams inactive because of his hamstring injury, the Bears could not hold on to the ball long enough to stay in the game: they threw three interceptions, lost two fumbles and were outgained 428 yards to 246.

How Green Bay pulled away
Love struck first with 5:51 left in the opening quarter, finding Watson for a 42-yard score. MarShawn Lloyd added a 7-yard touchdown run on the first play of the second quarter, and the Packers led 14-0 before D’Andre Swift ran in from a yard out with 1:53 left in the half to give Chicago its only points.
The game turned for good early in the third quarter, when Love hit Watson again, this time for 53 yards, to make it 20-7 with 13:10 left in the period. Trey Smack missed the extra point and two of his three field-goal attempts, but he made a 35-yarder late in the quarter, and Lloyd scored from 4 yards out five seconds into the fourth. Love then threw to Matthew Golden for the two-point conversion that set the final score.
Watson finished with 6 catches for 143 yards. Golden added 6 receptions for 123 yards, including a 50-yard gain, and tight end Tucker Kraft caught 5 passes for 64 yards. Lloyd’s two rushing touchdowns came on just 31 yards from 10 carries; Green Bay ran for only 70 yards as a team and did its damage through the air, averaging 10.8 yards per pass play.
Bears turn to Keenum, then turn it over again
Tyson Bagent made the start and went 12 of 21 for 87 yards with two interceptions. Brad Biggs reported that Case Keenum came off the bench to replace him at 3:24 p.m. EDT; Keenum was 11 of 19 for 108 yards with an interception and lost a fumble, the Bears’ fifth giveaway of the afternoon. Safety Xavier McKinney had two of the interceptions and linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper returned the third 20 yards.
Chicago’s few bright spots came on special teams and up front. Zavion Thomas returned six kickoffs for 192 yards, with a long of 61, and Austin Booker sacked Love twice. Rome Odunze was targeted 9 times but caught only 3 passes for 40 yards.
The Bears also finished the game without two defensive regulars. Linebacker T.J. Edwards left with a hamstring injury early in the second half, and defensive lineman Dayo Odeyingbo was listed as doubtful to return with a quad injury. Green Bay ruled out receiver Skyy Moore with an ankle injury, and cornerback Benjamin St-Juste was questionable to return with a hamstring problem. All of Sunday’s in-game injuries are tracked in one place.
What comes next
The Packers host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, October 18, at 8:20 p.m. EDT. The Bears visit the Atlanta Falcons that afternoon at 1 p.m. EDT, and the first question of their week is whether Williams is ready to return. Full numbers are in the Bears-Packers Game Center.
