The Minnesota Vikings still have two receiver decisions to make before facing the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, October 11. Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday morning that Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison will work out before the game to help determine whether they can play.

Jefferson is listed as questionable with an ankle injury, while Addison is questionable with a hamstring injury. Jefferson’s wish to play in Louisiana does not settle his availability, and neither receiver had been cleared in the report.

A test on the field, then a decision

The pregame evaluation is the next step for both receivers. Their final status should be distinguished from the questionable designations they carried into the weekend.

Minnesota added cover at receiver on Saturday by elevating Odell Beckham Jr. and Jeshaun Jones from the practice squad. The Vikings also announced the activation of center Michael Jurgens and tight end Ben Yurosek from injured reserve.

Those moves give the team options, but an elevation alone does not guarantee a player will be active. The final inactive list will clarify who is available.
