Five weeks into the 2026 season, the standings already show a hard split. San Francisco sits at 5-0 with a league-best plus-61 point differential. Miami is 0-5 at minus-62. The gap between those two is 123 points — and three clubs are still looking for their first win heading into Week 6.

Minnesota is the other unbeaten team at 5-0 (plus-45). Kansas City is 4-0 (plus-41) after using its bye. Jacksonville, at 4-1, owns the second-best differential in the league at plus-53. On the other end, Tennessee (0-5, minus-51) and the Los Angeles Chargers (0-5, minus-45) join Miami in the winless column, according to official standings after Week 5.

Tennessee Titans0-558109-51
Los Angeles Chargers0-584129-45

Miami has scored 70 points in five games and allowed 132. Tennessee has scored even less — 58 — while the Chargers sit at 84 points for and 129 against. Arizona, at 1-4, actually owns a worse differential than Tennessee and the Chargers at minus-54 after giving up 162 points.

What the middle looks like

Records alone do not tell the full story. Seattle is 3-2 with a plus-29 differential, better than several 4-1 teams on margin. Cleveland is 3-2 but minus-19. Philadelphia is 2-3 and minus-20. The NFC North has Minnesota alone at 5-0 while Chicago, Detroit and Green Bay are all 3-2 with differentials ranging from plus-23 (Bears) to minus-8 (Packers).

Buffalo moved to 4-1 with the Monday night win over the Rams and sits at plus-23 (164 points for, 141 against). That update is not yet reflected on the site standings hub, which still shows the Bills at 3-1 from an October 12 refresh.

Week 6 starts Thursday

Seattle at Denver opens the week Thursday at 8:15 p.m. ET (3:15 a.m. Cairo Friday). The 0-5 Chargers visit Kansas City on Sunday. Miami faces the 3-2 Browns, and Tennessee hosts the 1-4 Texans after Houston’s win in Nashville in Week 5.

San Francisco hosts Washington on Monday night. Minnesota is on bye, so the Vikings’ plus-45 will hold for another week while the 49ers try to stretch the league’s best margin.
