Jaxon Smith-Njigba has separated himself at the top of the NFL receiving chart. Through five weeks of the 2026 regular season, the Seattle Seahawks wideout leads the league with 583 receiving yards on 37 catches, and he also leads all receivers with seven touchdown receptions.

Chris Olave sits second at 537 yards for New Orleans, 46 behind Smith-Njigba. CeeDee Lamb (507), Drake London (488) and Christian Watson (474) round out the top five, according to league receiving statistics compiled after Week 5.

Yards and touchdowns in one package

Smith-Njigba is the only player in the top 10 clearing 550 yards, and he is alone atop the touchdown list among receivers. Watson is the next closest scoring threat with six receiving scores on only 26 catches. Olave has more receptions (39) than Smith-Njigba but just one touchdown, a reminder that Seattle’s volume is landing in the end zone as well as between the numbers.

His 116.6 receiving yards per game projects to about 1,982 over a 17-game season. He is averaging 15.8 yards per catch on 49 targets, with a long of 82 yards and 28 receiving first downs. In Week 5 he delivered another 100-yard night against San Francisco in the NFC West showdown the 49ers won late.

Who is chasing on rate

London and Watson own the best yards-per-catch marks among the top five, at 18.1 and 18.2. London has yet to score through five games despite 488 yards on only 27 receptions. Flowers, limited to four games, still ranks eighth with 405 yards and a 101.3 yards-per-game average that would sit inside the top five if he had played a full five.

Adams has 441 yards and four scores for the Rams after five weeks. Golden, Watson’s teammate in Green Bay, is ninth at 397 after a 123-yard Week 5 against Chicago.

Week 6 and the race

Smith-Njigba’s next chance comes quickly: Seattle visits Denver on Thursday night to open Week 6, with kickoff at 8:15 p.m. ET (3:15 a.m. Cairo Friday). Olave and the Saints host the Patriots on Sunday, Lamb’s Cowboys play at Carolina, and London faces Chicago in Atlanta. Watson and Golden are at home against Cincinnati in the late window.

Flowers will not add to his total this week: Baltimore is on bye in Week 6.
