Thursday’s official injury reports for the Madrid Game are out, and the Atlanta Falcons spent the day mixing football with Spanish football culture at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas campus. Kickoff against the Cincinnati Bengals at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday, November 8, is at 3:30 p.m. in Madrid and 4:30 p.m. in Cairo. Madrid is one hour behind Cairo.

Official Thursday report: Turner is full; Dugger still out of practice

The Bengals’ Thursday list, published after their first practice at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas, upgrades cornerback DJ Turner II (heel) to full participation after he was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday’s estimate. Edge rusher Cedric Johnson (ankle/foot) moved from did-not-participate to limited. Safety Kyle Dugger (quadriceps) again did not take part. Safety Jordan Battle (hamstring) stayed limited. Defensive tackles Jonathan Allen and B.J. Hill were both listed for rest, with Allen not practising and Hill limited. Our day-two story covered the stretch period and Zac Taylor’s first Madrid news conference.

Mourinho, Bellingham and a Real Madrid kit at Valdebebas

Away from the injury sheet, the Falcons’ Thursday at Ciudad Real Madrid turned into a crossover day with the club that owns their practice home. José Mourinho, the former Real Madrid manager, visited the session, and the Falcons posted a photo of the meeting.

Earlier, midfielder Jude Bellingham appeared with Falcons players in a short club video that ended with his goal celebration. The Falcons also filmed a Real Madrid kit handoff and posted practice photos with Brian Robinson in pads. Real Madrid’s own account confirmed the Falcons’ Thursday session on the campus ahead of Sunday’s Bernabéu game.

Stefanski: “get back to who we are”

Head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters in Madrid that he wants Sunday’s crowd, including first-time American-football fans, to see a team that plays “a fast and physical ballgame.” On offense, after Michael Penix Jr.’s four-interception loss at Tampa Bay, Stefanski said the Falcons are “excited about getting back to who we are.” Receiver Drake London said the club has been “as intentional as can be” in correcting that outing. Our day-one story has the Falcons’ first day at Valdebebas.
