Jonathan Greenard will not play for the Philadelphia Eagles against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday, October 11, leaving Philadelphia without its top edge rusher on a morning it was already missing two of its best offensive players.
The Eagles listed six inactive players about 90 minutes before the 9:30 a.m. EDT kickoff at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium: Greenard, running back Saquon Barkley, wide receivers DeVonta Smith and Hollywood Brown, safety Marcus Epps and center Drew Kendall.

Greenard never practiced
Greenard was the one Philadelphia player who carried a questionable tag into the weekend. He hurt his ankle in the 24-20 home loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4, did not come back into that game and did not take part in a single practice this week. Ian Rapoport reported earlier in the week that the injury was not a major one and that Greenard was being treated as day-to-day, so the decision looks like caution rather than a longer absence. The club has not given a timetable.
The other five were ruled out on Friday. Barkley and Smith both have hamstring injuries; Barkley left the Rams game early, while Smith is now out for a second week in a row. Brown is dealing with an ankle problem that has kept him off the field for consecutive games, Epps has a groin injury and Kendall, the starting center, did not practice all week because of a knee injury.
Who Philadelphia has left
The absences reshape the offense around Jalen Hurts. Tight end Dallas Goedert is back from a knee injury and is likely to be the quarterback’s most familiar target, and linebacker Zack Baun is expected to play after clearing the concussion protocol. Hurts appeared on the injury report with a calf issue but carried no game designation.
The offensive line is the thinnest spot. Kendall’s absence comes in the same week the Eagles traded center Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens and a few days after right tackle Lane Johnson retired. With Barkley out and Tank Bigsby on injured reserve, Will Shipley is expected to handle most of the backfield work.
Jacksonville’s inactives
The Jaguars named seven inactive players: wide receiver CJ Williams, cornerbacks Alijah Huzzie and Jaylon Jones, safety Eric Murray, offensive lineman Daniel Faalele, defensive end Wesley Williams and defensive tackle Albert Regis. Murray had been listed as questionable while he worked through the concussion protocol, and Jones had already been ruled out.
