The Washington Commanders activated defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr. from the reserve/PUP list on Saturday, making him available for Week 5 against the Giants, the team announced. Wise had spent the first month of the season on the PUP list.

Cornerback Trey Amos (ankle) and running back Jeremy McNichols (quad) also returned to practice this week, opening their 21-day activation windows, but both remain out for Week 5, per Pro Football Rumors. Washington also elevated safety Darren Hall and wide receiver Van Jefferson from the practice squad.
