Bijan Robinson leads the NFL in yards from scrimmage after Week 7, but only by 11 yards. The Atlanta Falcons running back had 122 (63 rushing, 59 receiving) in the 29–20 win over the San Francisco 49ers and has 907 for the season. Jaxon Smith-Njigba of the Seattle Seahawks is second with 896 after 163 against Kansas City on Sunday night, and Jahmyr Gibbs of the Detroit Lions is third with 890.

That is the closest the top three have been after any week this season. The previous tightest spread was 25 yards after Week 3, when Robinson (467), Gibbs (463) and Kenneth Walker III (442) were bunched. Robinson also took back the rushing lead, with 704 yards to Walker’s 701.

Smith-Njigba moved from fourth to second and is the only wide receiver in the top nine. He caught nine passes for 150 yards and a touchdown in Seattle’s 20–3 win, the first loss for the Chiefs, and ran twice for 13 yards. He has gone over 100 receiving yards in six of his seven games, and the only exception was 76 yards in Week 4. His 867 receiving yards lead the league by 216 over CeeDee Lamb of Dallas (651).

Gibbs, who was idle in Week 6, had 143 yards (116 rushing on 29 carries, 27 receiving) in the 20–17 win over Green Bay. The 29 carries tie his season high from Week 1. He has played one fewer game than Robinson and Smith-Njigba, and his 148.3 yards per game is the best of anyone in the top 10.

Walker went the other way. Facing his former team in Seattle, the Chiefs running back had 36 rushing yards on 14 carries and 21 receiving yards, 57 in all. Both are his lowest totals this season; his previous lows were 70 rushing yards and 73 from scrimmage, both in Week 3. He fell from second to fifth.
