The Cincinnati Bengals claimed linebacker Jack Kiser off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday, October 12, and placed linebacker Swayze Bozeman on injured reserve, using the open roster spot to replace a player hurt in Sunday’s win at Miami.
The club announced both moves on Monday afternoon. Bozeman injured his forearm during the 31-24 victory over the Dolphins, and the Bengals ruled him out before the game ended. A stay on injured reserve keeps him out for at least four games.

Who Cincinnati is getting
Jacksonville drafted Kiser in the fourth round in 2025, 107th overall, after a long college career at Notre Dame. He played 14 games as a rookie and made 14 tackles, most of them on special teams, before a December stint on injured reserve ended his season three games early.
His second year in Jacksonville never got going. The Jaguars cut him at the end of the preseason on August 30, re-signed him to the practice squad the next day and promoted him to the 53-man roster on September 16 when defensive end B.J. Green went on injured reserve. Kiser did not appear in a game this season before the club waived him on Saturday. Adam Schefter and Aaron Wilson both reported Cincinnati’s claim shortly after the announcement.
The swap is close to like for like. Bozeman, who has also spent time with the New York Giants and Kansas City Chiefs, had four tackles in four appearances for the Bengals this season. Kiser’s own résumé is built mostly on special teams, and the bye week gives him time to learn the system before the next game.
Where the Bengals stand
Joe Burrow threw four touchdown passes in Miami, the last a 45-yarder to Ja’Marr Chase, and the Bengals carried a 28-10 lead into the fourth quarter. Miami scored twice late, the second on a Malik Willis 1-yard run with 45 seconds left, but Evan McPherson’s 26-yard field goal had already put the game out of reach as Cincinnati improved to 3-2.
