Quinshon Judkins and Mason Graham carry no designation for 4-2 Cleveland in Nashville, while Ward's finger and Delpit's concussion leave two starters as game-time calls.

The Cleveland Browns head to Nashville with four players listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans, led by cornerback Denzel Ward and safety Grant Delpit. Four others are ruled out, among them quarterback Dillon Gabriel and defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr.

The bigger story for a 4-2 team may be who is missing from the list. Running back Quinshon Judkins and defensive tackle Mason Graham, both absent when Cleveland edged Baltimore 13-10 last Sunday, carry no game designation this week, which leaves both on track to play.

Ward’s finger and Delpit’s concussion

Ward was a late addition. He hurt a finger away from the practice field, after a team meeting, and was limited on Friday while the club had it examined. Todd Monken did not sound worried. “Knowing Denzel, I would expect him to play. But we’ll see,” the head coach said.

Delpit’s case depends on the concussion protocol. The safety was evaluated in the first quarter against the Ravens and did not return. He sat out Wednesday, then was limited on Thursday and Friday with the concussion and a shoulder problem, and Monken said he could be cleared as early as Saturday. Linebacker Quincy Williams (neck) missed Thursday and was limited on Friday. Running back Dylan Sampson (knee), who has not played since the opener and spent four games on injured reserve, finished the week with a full practice and is also questionable.

Who will not play

Hall has an ankle injury from the Week 4 game against Pittsburgh and misses a third straight game. Kalia Davis (quadriceps) is also out, so the interior of the line again leans on depth, although Graham’s return would ease that. Graham, who had four sacks in the first three games, has not played since October 1 because of a knee injury but avoided injured reserve.

Gabriel (back) took full part in practice all week inside his return window but remains on injured reserve for now. Guard Teven Jenkins, hurt in the first week of the season, misses a seventh straight game and has been moved to injured reserve.

Tennessee has its own questions. Receiver Calvin Ridley (hip) did not practice on Thursday or Friday and is questionable, as are safeties Tony Adams and Kevin Winston Jr., running back Tyjae Spears and linebacker Dorian Mausi, who is trying to come back from injured reserve.

What comes next

The Browns and the 1-5 Titans kick off at Nissan Stadium at 1:00 p.m. EDT on Sunday, October 25; follow it in the Browns-Titans Game Center. Cleveland then visits the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, November 1, at 1:00 p.m. EST. Final designations for every club are on the injury page.

The why matters.
