Atlanta Falcons left tackle Jake Matthews is expected to play against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night despite a groin injury, Ian Rapoport reported, keeping alive the longest active run of consecutive starts in the NFL.
Rapoport said the start would be the 200th of Matthews’ career, a streak that stretches back to his rookie season in 2014. The Falcons listed him as questionable after he finished the week with a full practice on Friday.

A scare on Monday night
The streak looked in danger six days ago. Matthews left the first quarter of Atlanta’s 45–24 home win over New Orleans on Monday, October 5, with the groin injury, and Michael Jerrell finished the game at left tackle. Matthews did not practice on Wednesday and was limited on Thursday before his full session on Friday.
Atlanta will still be missing edge rusher Za’Darius Smith, who was ruled out with a concussion and neck injury, and linebacker Yasir Abdullah, who went on injured reserve on Saturday.
Ravens expect Flowers and Humphrey
Baltimore also received good news on two questionable starters. Wide receiver Zay Flowers, listed with a foot injury, is expected to play, Adam Schefter reported. Cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who has been managing hamstring and calf injuries, is also expected to suit up, according to Rapoport.

Their availability matters more than usual. The Ravens have already ruled out quarterback Lamar Jackson with an ankle injury, so Tyler Huntley will start, and center Cam Jurgens, acquired from Philadelphia this week, will not play. Keeping Flowers and Humphrey on the field would give a patched-up lineup two of its most experienced players.
None of the three has been officially cleared. Both teams will confirm their inactive players 90 minutes before kickoff.
What comes next
The Ravens and Falcons kick off at 8:20 p.m. EDT on Sunday, October 11, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium; follow it on the Game Center. Baltimore visits Cleveland next Sunday, and Atlanta hosts Chicago the same afternoon.
