Kamara questionable with back issue

The New Orleans Saints listed running back Alvin Kamara as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings after a back injury limited him in practice Thursday and Friday. Kamara did not practice Wednesday. With Travis Etienne Jr. on injured reserve, the Saints are already thin at running back.

Safety Julian Blackmon (shoulder) is also questionable, as is rookie receiver Barion Brown (thigh), who practiced fully Friday and appears to be trending toward playing.

Olave scare ends well; three ruled out

Wide receiver Chris Olave practiced fully Friday and is expected to play after being seen in a walking boot Thursday when a teammate stepped on his foot. The Saints ruled out linebackers Kaden Elliss (calf) and Anfernee Jennings (knee) and rookie guard Jeremiah Wright (concussion).

Minnesota ruled out left tackle Christian Darrisaw (concussion) and cornerback Charles Demmings (hamstring). Justin Jefferson has said he plans to play despite a questionable tag with an ankle injury.

The why matters.
