Profile updated October 3, 2026: Injured-reserve move, rookie production and draft background.
Jadarian Price is a rookie running back for the Seattle Seahawks, selected 32nd overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. Seattle placed him on injured reserve Saturday, October 3, after he aggravated a chest injury in practice. He must miss at least four games before becoming eligible to return; the team has not announced a return date.
Why is Jadarian Price out?
Price initially suffered the injury against Arizona in Week 2 and played against Washington the following week. He aggravated it Wednesday, then missed Thursday and Friday practices. His Friday out designation was followed by Saturday’s confirmed injured-reserve placement. The announcement does not establish a season-ending absence.
What his first three NFL games show
Price rushed 28 times for 119 yards and caught four passes for 21 yards through September 27. He had 52 rushing yards in each of his first two games, followed by 15 at Washington. The team’s game log also records two lost fumbles, one in each road game.
Those figures describe a three-game start, not a settled verdict on his rookie season. Rushing yards exclude his receiving yards; combining the two produces 140 yards from scrimmage.
Notre Dame background
Price played 41 college games for Notre Dame, accumulating 1,692 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns. His final college season included 674 rushing yards and 11 rushing scores, giving Seattle a first-round addition with both backfield and return experience.
What changes for Seattle?
The team’s Friday update identified Emanuel Wilson and George Holani as the available backfield options with Price sidelined. Seattle also signed Velus Jones Jr. from the practice squad to the 53-man roster Saturday. Exact carries and snaps have not been announced. A return date for Price remains unresolved.

The Chargers coach rejected any change after the loss in Seattle, and Justin Herbert backed his play-caller as the offense keeps stalling early in games.
The fullback has a hyperextended knee and a bone bruise from Sunday's win over Denver, and Kyle Shanahan will spread his role among the tight ends for the trip to Seattle.
