Profile updated October 3, 2026: Week 4 opportunity after Seattle’s roster moves, early-season workload and career path.
Emanuel Wilson is a running back for the Seattle Seahawks, who signed him on March 13, 2026 after three seasons with Green Bay. Seattle’s Friday update identified Wilson and George Holani as its backfield options against the Chargers with Jadarian Price ruled out and Zach Charbonnet not yet eligible to return from the physically unable to perform list.
Does Wilson have a confirmed starting role?
The October 2 update supports an increased reliance on Seattle’s available backs, but it does not promise Wilson a particular number of carries or an exclusive lead role. Seattle subsequently signed Velus Jones Jr. from the practice squad to its 53-man roster Saturday, October 3, and placed Price on injured reserve. Jones’ signing adds another backfield option; it was not a temporary game-day elevation.
His Seattle workload so far
Wilson carried twice for three yards in the opener, 21 times for 92 yards at Arizona, and nine times for 14 yards at Washington. That adds up to 32 attempts for 109 yards through Week 3. The Arizona game supplied most of that production and remains the clearest example of a substantial workload in his early Seattle appearances.
What he brings from Green Bay
Wilson appeared in all 17 regular-season games in both 2024 and 2025. His 2024 season produced 502 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 103 attempts; in 2025 he recorded 496 yards and three touchdowns on 125 attempts. Those full-season totals provide a better measure of his prior workload than one strong or quiet game.
College route
Before reaching the NFL, Wilson played at Johnson C. Smith and Fort Valley State. He rushed for 1,371 yards and 17 touchdowns in his final Fort Valley State season in 2022, earning the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s Player of the Year award.
