The NFL’s important-dates calendar for the 2026–27 season sets a four-weekend path from the first Wild Card kickoff to Super Bowl LXI.
Fourteen teams still reach the postseason — seven per conference — with the No. 1 seed in each conference earning a bye into the divisional round. Matchups and most kickoff networks will be filled after Week 18; the round windows below are the league’s published dates.
The four rounds
Wild Card Weekend powered by Verizon — January 16–18, 2027 Six games across Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Schedule listings show windows at 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Eastern on Saturday; 1:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. on Sunday; and 8:15 p.m. on Monday on ABC and Disney’s sports networks.
Divisional Playoffs presented by Intuit TurboTax — January 23–24, 2027 Four games. Listings show Saturday windows at 4:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Eastern, and Sunday at 3:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Super Bowl LXI — Sunday, February 14, 2027 SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, California. ABC and Disney’s sports network carry their first Super Bowl production, with Disney+ streaming the English and Spanish presentations. Schedule listings place kickoff at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.
How this sits on the 2026 season
Week 18 closes the regular season January 9–10, 2027, with no Monday night game that weekend so the league can set the opening Wild Card slate. Rosters for playoff clubs freeze the following Wednesday with limited exceptions.
This calendar is the upcoming path. The completed 2025 postseason — Seattle’s run through the Rams and into a 29–13 Super Bowl LX win over New England — stays in the playoff results archive and the Super Bowl hub. Seeds and clinching scenarios for 2026 update on the standings page after each week.
