The Philadelphia Eagles opened the 21-day practice windows for guard Landon Dickerson, defensive back Jakorian Bennett, tight end Grant Calcaterra and tight end Eli Stowers on Wednesday and signed defensive back Dean Clark to the practice squad, the club announced.
Dickerson leads the return group
Dickerson, a three-time Pro Bowl left guard, has not played since Week 1 after a bone bruise in his right knee left him a liability in the opener against Washington. He went on injured reserve the next day. Opening his practice window lets him work with the club while remaining on IR until he is activated within 21 days.
Philadelphia’s offensive line has been shuffled hard in his absence: Lane Johnson retired, Cam Jurgens was traded to Baltimore, and undrafted players have already started. If Dickerson is ready for Sunday’s home game against the Carolina Panthers, he would slot back at left guard.
Bennett, Calcaterra and Stowers
Bennett, acquired from Las Vegas before the 2025 season, has been on IR since August 30 with a knee injury from training camp. Calcaterra (back) also landed on IR on August 30; the fifth-year tight end has 42 catches for 494 yards and two touchdowns in 62 career games. Stowers, the club’s 2026 second-round pick out of Vanderbilt, went on IR with a quadriceps injury before Week 1 after nursing a hamstring in camp.
Clark to the practice squad
Clark, an undrafted Fresno State product who started at Kent State, played 12 games with 14 tackles for the New York Jets as a rookie in 2025 after rising from the practice squad. The Jets waived him after the 2026 preseason. He adds secondary depth as Philadelphia prepares for Carolina.
Opening the windows does not guarantee any of the four play Sunday; the club still has to activate them. The WhyNFL Eagles hub will track which of Dickerson’s group clears the 21-day clock first.
