Bucky Irving ran for 165 yards and scored twice, Jalon Daniels threw for a touchdown in his first career win, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Dallas Cowboys 24-16 on Thursday night at AT&T Stadium to open Week 5.

Tampa Bay improves to 1-4. Dallas falls to 2-3 after Dak Prescott threw for 316 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions, the last of them by Alex Anzalone in the final minute to seal it.

Seventeen unanswered in the third

Dallas scored first on Javonte Williams’s 1-yard run. Daniels evened it early in the second quarter with a 5-yard touchdown pass to Irving in the flat, and Brandon Aubrey’s 41-yard field goal before halftime left the Cowboys ahead 10-7.

Out of the break Irving cut back for 72 yards on the first snap of the third quarter, and Emeka Egbuka finished the drive with a 14-yard jet-sweep touchdown. On the next Dallas possession David Walker tipped a Prescott throw that Yaya Diaby intercepted. Daniels then hit Tez Johnson for 64 yards, and Irving punched in from a yard out for a 21-10 lead.

Miles Killebrew forced a fumble on KaVontae Turpin’s ensuing kickoff return, Kevin Knowles recovered, and Chase McLaughlin’s 41-yard field goal made it 24-10. Prescott found George Pickens for a 17-yard touchdown later, but the two-point try failed.
