Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders has signed with Adie von Gontard, the CEO of Young Money APAA Sports, for representation after going through the NFL Draft and the early part of his career without an agent, Adam Schefter reported Wednesday.
With the signing, Young Money APAA now represents both Sanders and his former Colorado teammate Travis Hunter, the Jacksonville Jaguars two-way star. Sanders entered the league as a fifth-round pick in 2025 and handled his own business through draft night and into his second NFL season.
The move follows a path other young players have taken. Marvin Harrison Jr. also spent time without a traditional agent early in his career before hiring one, and he was traded from Arizona to Houston this week. Cleveland has given no sign that it wants to move Sanders. Hiring an agent does not force a trade, but it gives him formal help with contracts, marketing and any future negotiations.
Why it matters now
Sanders has seen limited snaps in 2026 behind the established starters in the Browns’ quarterback room. Formal representation puts a certified agent between him and the club on roster decisions, any future extension talks and off-field deals as the season goes on.
Young Money APAA, tied to Lil Wayne’s Young Money brand, works across the NFL, the NBA, college NIL deals and soccer. Von Gontard already had Hunter on his client list, and adding Sanders puts two of Colorado’s highest-profile recent NFL players under one roof.
