Arch Manning is still the quarterback mock drafters want most. In one of the most widely used online 2027 mock draft simulators, the Texas quarterback is the most popular first-round pick for three teams: the Arizona Cardinals, the Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets.
The simulator’s most common first-round selection for every team was released on Wednesday night. It is a look at what fans running their own mocks are doing, not an analyst’s projection, and it comes in the same week that several expert mocks left Manning out of the first round entirely.

Only two quarterbacks make the list
Four teams have a quarterback as their most popular pick, and only two quarterbacks show up. Manning takes three of those spots. The fourth is Notre Dame’s CJ Carr, the top choice for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
That is a sharp contrast with the experts. Ryan Wilson and former Titans general manager Ran Carthon put six quarterbacks in the first round of their mock this week and did not take Manning at all. Dan Treacy’s latest quarterback rankings have Oregon’s Dante Moore first, Carr second and Manning third. Neither Moore, Oklahoma State’s Drew Mestemaker nor Miami’s Darian Mensah is any team’s most popular pick in the simulator.
Tight ends and centers are popular
Oregon tight end Jamari Johnson is the most popular pick for three teams, the Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Add LSU’s Trey’Dez Green for the Kansas City Chiefs, and four teams’ users most often go tight end in the first round.
Three teams most often take a center. Iowa’s Kade Pieper is the top choice for both the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers, and Oregon’s Iapani Laloulu is the pick for the Minnesota Vikings.
Jeremiah Smith is not the Titans’ top choice
Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith, the No. 1 pick in Wilson and Carthon’s mock and the top player on several big boards, is the most popular pick for the Houston Texans and the Miami Dolphins. The 0-5 Tennessee Titans’ users most often go elsewhere, taking Texas edge rusher Colin Simmons.
Clemson linebacker Sammy Brown is the top choice for the Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots, and Mississippi State cornerback Kelley Jones is the most popular pick for both the Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions.
