The Jacksonville Jaguars reshaped their roster Tuesday, signing safety Kaevon Merriweather to the active roster from the practice squad, placing offensive lineman Anton Harrison on the reserve/injured list, and adding long snapper Jacob Bobenmoyer to the practice squad, the club announced.

Why Merriweather now

Merriweather, 26, was elevated for Week 5 and recorded a tackle. He spent 2025 with Tampa Bay (12 games) and Houston (one game), totaling 11 tackles, and has played 43 career games with seven starts. Harrison’s IR move creates the corresponding active-roster opening as Jacksonville sits at 4-1.

Bobenmoyer’s practice-squad signing covers long-snapper depth after Ross Matiscik’s shoulder injury in London. The WhyNFL desk already covered Bobenmoyer’s arrival for the Wembley week; Tuesday’s club release ties that add to Merriweather’s promotion and Harrison’s IR designation.

Week 6 outlook

The Jaguars face the Houston Texans at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. Roster and depth-chart tables on the team hub may lag official club announcements by a day; use the Transactions feed and this companion story for the Tuesday moves.
