Points and yards
Gibbs has 747 yards from scrimmage: 504 rushing at 4.8 yards a carry and 243 receiving on 27 catches. His 54 points trail only Colts kicker Spencer Shrader, who has 58. Vikings kicker Will Reichard is third with 53, and Henry has 50.
Two of his best games came at the start and end of the stretch. He ran for 156 yards and two scores in the overtime win over New Orleans in Week 1, then matched that with 151 yards and two scores at Arizona.
The bye could cost him the lead
Detroit is off in Week 6 and returns Oct. 25 against Green Bay. Smith-Njigba plays Thursday night at Denver, Henry and the Ravens visit Cleveland on Sunday, and Allen and the Bills play at Las Vegas on Sunday. Any of them could tie or pass Gibbs before he plays again.
