Christian Watson is off to the most productive start of his career, and the Green Bay Packers receiver says he is not done yet.

Watson caught six passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday’s 31-7 win over the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field. He opened the scoring with a 42-yard touchdown on the first possession, then caught a 53-yard touchdown from Jordan Love on third-and-22 in the third quarter to give Green Bay a two-score lead.

Through five games, Watson has 26 catches for 474 yards, an 18.2-yard average and six touchdown receptions. He is only the third player in franchise history with at least 25 catches, six touchdown catches and an 18-yard average through the first five games, and the last NFL player to hit those marks that early was Jerry Rice in 1986. He has also caught a touchdown in each of his last four games at Lambeau Field.

“I’ve got to keep on climbing,” Watson told reporters. “There’s a lot of individual goals I want to achieve, but I’ve got to keep on doing what I’m doing if we want to have success as a team. Obviously, they’re relying on me a lot.”

The run comes almost a year after Watson returned from a torn ACL on October 26, 2025. In 16 games since then, including the playoffs, he has 64 catches for 1,121 yards and 13 touchdowns. Green Bay signed him to a contract extension in June.

His role grew after Jayden Reed was lost for the season with a neck injury in Week 2. Watson and Matthew Golden have combined for 871 receiving yards, the second-most by a Packers receiving pair through five games since James Lofton and John Jefferson posted 873 in 1983. Independent route-run charting ranks them first and second among wide receivers in yards per route run.

“Christian’s speed,” tight end Tucker Kraft said. “I couldn’t imagine trying to run with him.”
