Liam Coen called his starting left tackle stiff a day after he was carted off against the Eagles, and Jacksonville has a practice-squad plan ready if he cannot face Houston at Wembley.

Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Anton Harrison underwent an MRI on his injured knee Monday, and coach Liam Coen said the club was still waiting on the results as it prepares for a second straight game in London.

Harrison was carted off during the third quarter of Sunday’s 19-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after he hurt his left leg while blocking defensive tackle Moro Ojomo. Walker Little took over at left tackle for the rest of the afternoon.

Coen gave no diagnosis. He described Harrison as stiff and said the team would need patience if the tackle cannot take part in practice this week. “We’ll have to be patient if he’s not able to practice,” he said.

Jacksonville’s plan on the line

Because the Jaguars are spending the week in England before facing the Houston Texans at Wembley Stadium, Coen said they would not bring in an outside player if Harrison is ruled out. Instead, they would promote an offensive lineman from their own practice squad for the game. Little is the obvious candidate to start, and right tackle Cole Van Lanen, who finished the 2025 season on the left side, gives the staff another way to reshuffle.

Losing Harrison would be unusual. The 2023 first-round pick had been absent for just three of the 56 games Jacksonville had played since he arrived, and he has anchored the blind side for Trevor Lawrence. The line already struggled with penalties in London, drawing several holding flags plus a false start on Harrison before he got hurt.

The Jaguars are also short at long snapper. Ross Matiscik left Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury, and defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton handled the snaps in his place, including the one on Cam Little‘s 57-yard field goal as time expired. Coen said a replacement snapper was being flown over from the United States.

Where the Jaguars stand

Sunday’s win lifted Jacksonville to 4-1. Lawrence threw touchdown passes of 51 and 27 yards to Parker Washington, and Little’s kick at the final whistle completed a comeback from a 14-10 deficit. The Eagles, who dropped to 2-3, fly home to face the Carolina Panthers.

No timeline has been given for Harrison, and it is not yet known whether the injury involves ligament damage. The MRI results should clarify that, and his practice status will show on the injury report later this week.

What comes next

The Jaguars meet the Texans in the Week 6 game at Wembley on Sunday, October 18, at 9:30 a.m. EDT. Houston arrives 1-4 after a 26-3 win at Tennessee and the trade for Marvin Harrison Jr.
