Tyler Huntley pushed in a 1-yard quarterback sneak with 2:57 left in overtime on Sunday night, and Kyle Hamilton picked off Atlanta’s final pass to seal a 30-23 Baltimore Ravens win at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, a game the Falcons led by eight points with less than three minutes to play.
The comeback lifts Baltimore to 4-1 and gives the Ravens sole possession of first place in the AFC North with Lamar Jackson still sidelined by a sprained left ankle. Atlanta falls to 2-3, and the Falcons may also have lost their starting quarterback: Michael Penix Jr. hurt his ribs on a sack late in regulation and did not return.
How Baltimore came back
Nick Folk’s third field goal, a 48-yarder with 2:31 remaining, put Atlanta ahead 23-15 and seemed to settle the night. Huntley answered on the next possession, finding Devontez Walker for a 7-yard touchdown with 40 seconds on the clock. Derrick Henry carried the two-point try across the goal line to tie the game at 23.
Atlanta’s last possession of regulation went backward. Tavius Robinson sacked Penix with 27 seconds left, and the quarterback walked off holding his side. Tua Tagovailoa played one down before Penix came back in, the Falcons punted, and the game went to overtime with Penix on the bench.
Baltimore took the overtime kickoff and kept it until reaching the end zone. The possession ran 14 plays, covered 68 yards and took 7:03 off the clock. Huntley went 5-for-5 on the march and kept it alive on two third downs with completions to Mark Andrews and Zay Flowers before sneaking in. On Atlanta’s last chance, Hamilton, who grew up in the Atlanta area, stepped in front of a Tagovailoa throw intended for Drake London to end the game.

The performers
Huntley finished 24 of 32 for 201 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions, and he also ran for 20 yards and the winning score. He was far sharper after halftime, completing 13 of 14 throws for 104 yards and both touchdown passes. Henry ran 24 times for 102 yards and caught an 18-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, and Justice Hill added 73 yards on four carries, including a 47-yard burst. Baltimore outrushed Atlanta 208 to 110 and held the ball for 35:10.
Tyler Loop made all three of his field-goal attempts for the Ravens, two of them from 51 yards, the second on the final play of the first half. Malaki Starks led the defense with 10 tackles.
For Atlanta, Penix went 19 of 32 for 240 yards and threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Pitts Sr. Drake London caught seven passes for 118 yards, and Bijan Robinson ran 17 times for 86 yards. Jessie Bates III gave the Falcons a 7-3 lead in the first quarter when he scooped up a Baltimore fumble and returned it 36 yards for a touchdown.
Ravens coach Jesse Minter credited Huntley for staying calm throughout the night. Falcons coach Kevin Stefanski was blunt: “We didn’t do enough to win the game.”
Penix’s injury
Penix said he did not expect the injury to keep him out for long. “Knowing me, I’m going to be ready to go next week,” he said. Adam Schefter reported Monday morning that Penix was expected to have an MRI on his ribs to determine whether he will miss any time. The Falcons had not announced a result. Penix returned in Week 3 after the third ACL surgery of his career.
