Profile updated October 2, 2026: Interior-line role, early-season production and Week 4 status.
Leonard Williams is a defensive lineman for the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle’s current team profile identifies him as a defensive tackle, while the older roster observation on this page used the broader defensive-end label. His profile is best understood through his interior defensive work and his ability to pressure quarterbacks.
Leonard Williams’ 2026 start
Williams recorded one sack in each of Seattle’s first three games: against New England, at Arizona and at Washington. The team’s game log therefore lists three sacks through Week 3, alongside 13 combined tackles. Those are regular-season figures through September 27, not a projection for the full year.
Week 4 practice status
Seattle listed Williams for non-injury-related rest during the week before the Chargers game. He moved from limited participation Wednesday to full participation Thursday and Friday, with no game-status designation on October 2. A rest entry should not be described as a new injury.
His path to Seattle
The Jets drafted Williams sixth overall out of USC in 2015. He later played for the Giants before joining Seattle in a 2023 trade, then re-signed with the Seahawks in March 2024. His 2024 season produced 11 sacks and 16 tackles for loss, giving context to the disruptive interior role he carries today.
His most unusual scoring play that season came against the Jets: a 92-yard interception return for a touchdown on December 1, 2024. It was a defensive score, separate from his sack production.
Comparing seasons fairly
Use full regular seasons for year-to-year totals and label partial seasons by their cutoff. Three sacks in three games and 11 across a complete season answer different questions; neither should be presented as a forecast of his next performance.

Regular-season records. Totals use each recorded season once, even when team splits and a combined row are both shown. Rates are recalculated from the counted totals. A dash means a value is missing or cannot be calculated reliably; these records do not establish complete career coverage. Checked Oct 5, 2026. Rows with no recorded production are omitted.
The Chargers coach rejected any change after the loss in Seattle, and Justin Herbert backed his play-caller as the offense keeps stalling early in games.
The fullback has a hyperextended knee and a bone bruise from Sunday's win over Denver, and Kyle Shanahan will spread his role among the tight ends for the trip to Seattle.
