Falcons beat Panthers 34–31 in 2004 Week 15

The Atlanta Falcons beat the Carolina Panthers 34–31 at home at Georgia Dome in overtime in Week 15 of the 2004 regular season on December 18, 2004. It was decided by 3 points, a field goal or less.

It was the only game of Week 15 to need overtime.

The result moved the Falcons to 11–3 and dropped the Panthers to 6–8. The Panthers finished 2004 at 7–9 and missed the playoffs. The Falcons finished 2004 at 11–5 and lost in the NFC Championship Game.

In their previous meeting, the Atlanta Falcons won 27–10 on October 3, 2004. When they met again, the Carolina Panthers won 24–6 on December 4, 2005. The Falcons swept the 2004 season series.
