Rams win Super Bowl XXXIV, 23–16 over the Tennessee Titans

The St. Louis Rams beat the Tennessee Titans 23–16 at Georgia Dome, a neutral site, in Super Bowl XXXIV on January 30, 2000. It was a one-score game at the finish, decided by 7 points.

The Rams went 13–3 in the regular season and the Titans went 13–3. The Rams had already beaten the Minnesota Vikings in the Divisional round and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game. Counting from the 1999 season, it was the franchise’s first Super Bowl title. The loss ended the Titans’ season.

In their previous meeting, the Tennessee Titans won 24–21 on October 31, 1999. When they met again, the St. Louis Rams won 31–27 on September 25, 2005.
