Rams beat Buccaneers 11–6 in the NFC Championship Game

The St. Louis Rams beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 11–6 at home at TWA Dome in the NFC Championship Game of the 1999 playoffs on January 23, 2000. It was a one-score game at the finish, decided by 5 points.

The 17 combined points were the fewest in any game of the 1999 playoffs.

The Buccaneers went 11–5 in the regular season and the Rams went 13–3. The Rams had already beaten the Minnesota Vikings in the Divisional round. The Rams went on to win Super Bowl XXXIV, beating the Tennessee Titans 23–16. The loss ended the Buccaneers’ season.
