The Cleveland Browns signed guard Vershon Lee and tight end Devin Culp to their practice squad on Tuesday and released cornerback Myles Bryant and receiver James Proche II from it, the club announced, two days after a 17-12 loss to the New York Jets.
Who is coming in
Lee is 6-foot-4 and 318 pounds and played his college football at South Carolina. He signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2025, spent most of his rookie year on their practice squad and has appeared in one NFL game. He will wear No. 65 in Cleveland and gives the Browns another interior lineman to work with after a rough afternoon up front against the Jets.
Culp, 6-foot-4 and 237 pounds, is in his third season out of Washington. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers took him in the seventh round of the 2024 draft, and he has played in 18 career games. He will wear No. 82.
Who is going out
Proche had rejoined the practice squad only last week and was not elevated for the Jets game. The veteran receiver has 34 career catches for 364 yards across stints with the Baltimore Ravens, the Browns and the Tennessee Titans.
Bryant had been on and off Cleveland’s roster since signing in April but had not played a game for the club. He spent six seasons with the New England Patriots and Houston Texans before that, with four career interceptions in 77 games.
The rest of Tuesday’s moves
The practice squad changes came on the same day Cleveland placed running back Raheim Sanders on injured reserve with a hip injury and signed Audric Estime to the 53-man roster from Minnesota’s practice squad. A day later the club opened Dylan Sampson’s return window.
The 3-2 Browns host the 4-1 Ravens at Huntington Bank Field on Sunday, October 18, at 1 p.m. EDT.
