Jaguars beat Jets 26–20 in 2005 Week 3

The Jacksonville Jaguars beat the New York Jets 26–20 on the road at Giants Stadium in overtime in Week 3 of the 2005 regular season on September 25, 2005. It was a one-score game at the finish, decided by 6 points.

It was the only game of Week 3 to need overtime.

The result moved the Jaguars to 2–1 and dropped the Jets to 1–2. The Jaguars finished 2005 at 12–4 and lost in the Wild Card round. The Jets finished 2005 at 4–12 and missed the playoffs.

In their previous meeting, the New York Jets won 13–10 on November 23, 2003. When they met again, the Jacksonville Jaguars won 41–0 on October 8, 2006.
