The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Atlanta Falcons 27–10 at home at Lincoln Financial Field in the NFC Championship Game of the 2004 playoffs on January 23, 2005.
The Falcons went 11–5 in the regular season and the Eagles went 13–3. The Eagles had already beaten the Minnesota Vikings in the Divisional round. The Eagles’ run ended in the Super Bowl XXXIX, a 24–21 loss to the New England Patriots. The loss ended the Falcons’ season.
In their previous meeting, the Philadelphia Eagles won 23–16 on November 2, 2003. When they met again, the Atlanta Falcons won 14–10 on September 12, 2005.
