Chiefs beat Texans 42–14 in 2003 Week 3

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Houston Texans 42–14 on the road at Reliant Stadium in Week 3 of the 2003 regular season on September 21, 2003.

The 56 combined points were the most in any game of Week 3. No other game of Week 3 was decided by as many points.

The result moved the Chiefs to 3–0 and dropped the Texans to 1–2. It was the Chiefs’ third straight win. The Chiefs finished 2003 at 13–3 and lost in the Divisional round. The Texans finished 2003 at 5–11 and missed the playoffs.
