The Giants went 10–6 in the regular season and the Packers went 13–3. The Giants had already beaten the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round and the Dallas Cowboys in the Divisional round. The Giants went on to win Super Bowl XLII, beating the New England Patriots 17–14. The loss ended the Packers’ season.
