Browns beat Titans 31–28 in 2002 Week 3

The Cleveland Browns beat the Tennessee Titans 31–28 on the road at The Coliseum in overtime in Week 3 of the 2002 regular season on September 22, 2002. It was decided by 3 points, a field goal or less.

It was one of two games of Week 3 to need overtime.

The result moved the Browns to 2–1 and dropped the Titans to 1–2. The Browns finished 2002 at 9–7 and lost in the Wild Card round. The Titans finished 2002 at 11–5 and lost in the AFC Championship Game.

In their previous meeting, the Cleveland Browns won 41–38 on December 30, 2001. When they met again, the Cleveland Browns won 20–14 on November 6, 2005.
