The Seattle Seahawks beat the Carolina Panthers 34–14 at home at Qwest Field in the NFC Championship Game of the 2005 playoffs on January 22, 2006.
The Panthers went 11–5 in the regular season and the Seahawks went 13–3. The Seahawks had already beaten Washington in the Divisional round. The Seahawks’ run ended in the Super Bowl XL, a 21–10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The loss ended the Panthers’ season.
In their previous meeting, the Seattle Seahawks won 23–17 on October 31, 2004. When they met again, the Carolina Panthers won 13–10 on December 16, 2007.
