Saints beat Falcons 23–3 in 2006 Week 3

The New Orleans Saints beat the Atlanta Falcons 23–3 at home at Louisiana Superdome in Week 3 of the 2006 regular season on September 25, 2006.

No other game of Week 3 was decided by as many points.

The result moved the Saints to 3–0 and dropped the Falcons to 2–1. It was the Saints’ third straight win. The Falcons finished 2006 at 7–9 and missed the playoffs. The Saints finished 2006 at 10–6 and lost in the NFC Championship Game.

In their previous meeting, the Atlanta Falcons won 36–17 on December 12, 2005. When they met again, the New Orleans Saints won 31–13 on November 26, 2006.
