Accuracy before speed
Publish only claims supported by reliable evidence. Prefer official league and team releases, original interviews, public records, and clearly attributed reporting. A rumor is not a completed transaction. Label developing information and distinguish fact from interpretation.
Original work and useful context
Coverage should add reporting, analysis, explanation, or a useful reader service. Do not scrape and republish articles, manufacture quotations, imply attendance at an event, or publish bulk rewrites for search traffic. Headlines must reflect what the article actually establishes.
People and accountability
Attach real contributor names and accurate biographies to published reporting. Identify relevant expertise without inventing credentials. Editors remain responsible for checking all material, including AI-assisted drafts, statistics, and summaries. Disclose substantial AI assistance where it helps readers understand how material was produced.
Dates, data, and updates
Display publication dates and meaningful update dates. Do not change a date merely to imply freshness. Sports data must include its source and update time. Mark unavailable and stale data clearly. Demonstration data is not served in the production site.
Independence and commercial relationships
Label sponsorships and affiliate relationships near the relevant content. Sponsors do not control editorial conclusions. Paid links must use the appropriate sponsored relationship attribute. No purchased ranking links, undisclosed advertorials, or unrelated third-party pages designed to exploit the site’s reputation.
Corrections
Correct material errors promptly and append a clear note explaining what changed. Do not silently replace an incorrect claim when the change affects the story’s meaning. See the corrections page for our process.
Images and videos
Use owned, licensed, or permitted assets. Label illustrative imagery appropriately. Embed only authorized videos, preserve attribution, and do not offer unauthorized game broadcasts.
Automated collection and AI assistance
Scrapy and Scrapling help collect source evidence for editorial review. Collection respects robots restrictions and does not bypass paywalls or access controls. Collected articles are not automatically published. AI-assisted drafts must add useful explanation, retain attribution and uncertainty, and pass editorial review. Multiple outlets repeating one report do not constitute independent confirmation.
